2026 LOWCOUNTRY DOG MODEL CONTEST

ENTRIES ARE OPEN TIL MARCH 31st

OFFICIAL RULES & REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY

1. Only one dog per entry, please. (if you wish to enter more than one dog, each will need their own entry form)

2. Professional photos are allowed

3. Please only submit photos with just your dog (no humans, other dogs, etc.) and the photo must be recent.

4. A well-composed photo is encouraged.

5. After entry, you will directed to a paysite to pay the $10 entry fee.

6. After all entries are collected, our judges will pick 40 semi-finalists and 10 alternates.

7. If you are not local to Charleston, your dog must be able to be at all shoots required in the Charleston area. 

8. A casting photoshoot will take place of these 50 dogs with our photographer in May 2026 
   A $40 sitting fee will be due if selected as a semi-finalist and you will receive one professional digital image of your dog from this shoot.

9. Our staff and photographer will pick the final dogs to move on to the popular vote.  A minimum of 40 and a maximum of 50 will be selected.  

10. The finalists will go up for popular vote on June 1st for 30 days and the top 12 dogs will become calendar dogs and the TOP DOG wins a cover shoot for the August 2026 issue of Lowcountry Dog. We will shoot the calendar dogs during the summer of 2026. 
    

Lowcountry Dog Magazine can disqualify or remove a contestant from the contest at their discretion, with no refund of any entry fee or sitting fees.  Please direct any questions to contact@lowcountrydog.com
