The Week in Review

Halloween collars have arrived at Hairy Winston Pet Boutique & Grocery! Get your spooky costume early this year!

Yay! 40+ publicly-owned Pit Bulls have been spayed or neutered at the Pet Helpers clinic this month as part of their $20 special.

Frances R. Willis SPCA is making a plea for foster homes. They are having newborns and young puppies/kittens come into the shelter daily and the shelter is not the best place for them, not to mention we do not have the space to keep animals for long and some of the babies need a place to go for up to a couple of months. If you can open your heart and home to some furry babies for any amount of time, please come by the shelter and fill out an application. Please specify what will work best for you. We have everything from newborns with moms to puppies that just need a week or two. Please help us save these babies!

Let your pooch enjoy the final days of summer in the County pool on Sunday September 9th from 12 Noon to 5pm!

Please stop by LowCountry Animal Rescue's adoption event this Saturday, Sept. 1. It's at the Petsmart Store in the Azalea Square Shopping Plaza in Summerville. They have little dogs, big dogs, cats & kittens. Don't you have room for just one more deserving animal in your heart and your home?

PSST! Guess what! Pet Helpers will become the FIRST animal welfare charity to be included as part of the Cooper River Bridge Run Charity Connection. We'll keep you informed about how you can STAY FIT, SUPPORT THE ANIMALS, and participate in one of the world's largest races!
