Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Sullivan Alexander III
My dog's name is Sullivan Alexander III. He is a Mini Goldendoodle (mini poodle/golden retriever). Every moment with Sullivan is memorable. The most memorable is the moment I got him! Sully was a Christmas present from my boyfriend. When I first saw him I thought he was a fuzzy pillow on the couch! His face was hidden and he wasn't moving at all; just a pile of reddish brown fur.
He was such a lazy puppy. He wouldn't even stand up for me as he could barely hold his little head up. He didn't move all night, in fact, and I didn't see him stand up until the next morning on Christmas. He loved chewing on all the ribbons and wrapping paper. I'll never forget it! It was the best Christmas present ever.
Sully loves taking walks, playing with other dogs and swimming. But his favorite is to be chased. He doesn't fetch very well, but he loves to be chased around the house and around the yard. I always know he wants me to chase him when he lowers his head and raises his little butt in the air, tail wagging!
Sully has the most personality of any dog I've ever met. For the most part he has very laid back personality. He just goes with the flow. He loves kids--if there is a kid within 100 yards, he has found them and is immediately licking them on the face. He doesn't mind being picked up or held--he loves to snuggle! He doesn't even mind visiting the vet!
I don't know what I did before Sully. Being in law school is very stressful, but when Sully climbs into my lap at the end of the day for an ear rub, my cares fade away. He helps me to remember the simpler things in life!
