Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Ruca

Meet Ruca Readdy! She was born in Januray 17th of this year. She is a sweet little girl Chiweenie (that is a Chihuahua Dachshund mix).

My most memorable moment with my puppy Ruca would be the night we taught her to sit. We grilled hamburgers that night and used a little bit of the left over patty to teach her how to sit down. She was probably only 3 or 4 months old then. She was still so little and got very full on the hamburger patty. After we let our food settle we took Ruca for a walk on the golf course that we live beside. When we got on the course I started to run so she would chase me, and she ran right in between my legs and I tripped over her! It scared her and me but it was the funniest moment ever! We still laugh about it today!

Ruca LOVES to learn new tricks and get treats! At the moment she can sit, lay down, roll over, and spin on her back legs. She loves to wander around and go on walks. She is a big sniffer and very nosey. Ruca never meets a stranger. She is a laid back pup that is very easy to love and keeps you laughing. She is also a very quick learner which is great.

I love having Ruca so much. I am a very stressed out person and it chills me out to have her. She is spunky and makes me laugh, but then will lay down and relax with me when I need lazy time. She is my little best friend!
