Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Daisy

My dog's name is Daisy. She is currently 2 years old and is a full blooded Bull Terrier. One of the many memorable moments with her was when my boyfriend and I were excited for her to begin swimming at 7 weeks; my boyfriend loves the water. That didn't work out too well because once we set her down and she started going to the the water, a wave from another boat came and swallowed her up. We freaked out for a second but once her cute little head popped up she kept going.

Some of Daisy's favorite activities are going for walks, going fishing/on the boat, chewing on bones, playing with her brother Bubba, and tearing up soda boxes. Her two favorite toys out of the bunch are her Frisbee and a her green rubber barbell.

Daisy's personality is off the charts in my eyes. Bull Terriers in general are known to have a clownish personality to start with and she is just that. As responsible owners we had her spayed for her own health. The sad part to it is she would of been the best mom, so I gave her the nickname Mama Bear. I called her that primarily because she loves to lick people and clean her Pit Bull sibling. Feet, legs, hands, face, ears; you name it. My boyfriend's Nannie just got a 8 week old Pompeian and she goes into "momma mode." She's definitely the funniest dog I've ever seen.

Daisy as well as my Pit Bull Bubba have changed my life forever. As a couple in our 20's, we consider them to be our children. Daisy was the first dog we got as a couple and she cost a pretty penny but was worth more than any dollar amount that could exist. She is priceless to us. I always joke that my boyfriend loves her more than me ( which I believe is somewhat true). She has given us the responsibility we never had. Just like a child, she is our precious diamond that could never been traded or given up. She is one of the loves of my life. She has consumed my life with happiness every time I see that happy face just smiling up at me.
