Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Betsey

Betsey is my Redbone Coonhound and Lab mix. She is six years old. Betsey is very attached to a cat I rescued named Mr. Red. I took both of them to the veterinarian one day and the cat ended up staying for medical care. When I got home, Betsey did not want to get out of the car without Mr. Red. I had to wheel her into the house in a wheelbarrow.

Betsey loves other dogs and cats. She goes hiking and likes to play in the creek. She likes to go riding in the car and rubs her nose all over the car windows. She loves to go to fenced-in areas and run while her big ears flap everywhere.

Betsey is outgoing, brave, and a kind-hearted soul. I adopted her from a rescue after a decade of having no dog, and now Betsey is my best friend.
