Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Ava

My dog's name is Ava. She was born in December 16, 2010. Classified as a Carolina dog at the shelter, we do know tha her mom has some Pit Bull in her. The most memorable moment with Ava was taking her to the James Island County dog park for the first time. Her face lit up with excitement. She swam like a pro her first time diving in the pond!

Ava LOVES hiking and camping with us. She enjoys swimming in the ocean or any body of water, really. She loves chasing squirrels in our backyard and playing with her brother. She also likes to chase our cat Conan around the house trying to figure out why she can never catch him!

Ava is sweet and curious! She loves to cuddle and be lazy with me but the second something catches her eye or her ears, she's gone! She's very adventurous and loves meeting new people and other dogs!

I've grown up with dogs in my family but adopting Ava and her brother was a new experience for me! I never knew how much fun dogs could be until I had my own to take care of! Having two is even better!! Ava has made me appreciate the outdoors more now then before! We plan more trips around our dogs then we do for ourselves.
