Foster Fridays: Kaylee
Hi there! My name is Kaylee. I am a female Bull Terrier/Terrier mix. I am about 10 months old and 45 pounds. I have been in my foster home at In The Dog House for about 3 weeks now. Please share my story so I can find a forever home of my own.
I am crate trained and housebreaking should not be a huge issue for my new family. I do really well at the center but all dogs pee inside at some point! I give the best kisse in the whole world and can get into your lap in less than one second!
Here is what my foster family has to say about me:
Kaylee is fantastic with other dogs; big, small, young and old. Not sure about cats. She likes all people but has never been exposed to children here. Kaylee is very friendly, sweet and affectionate. She likes to be your shadow and be where all the action is. She is silly and funny and cute. Kaylee is the class clown.
Kaylee would work best in an active and interactive family. She loves to be with people and likes to keep moving. But she also thinks she is a lap dog; she doesn't mind being picked up and carried around like a toddler. She would love a family that would take her to the beach, the dog park, etc. Kaylee is a social girl!
Whenever any of the staff sits down for a second, she is right there handing out kisses. She greets everyone with a tail wag and a smooch! We take our fosters out for regular walks every morning for some one-on-one time away from the center and she is wonderful.
She was brought into the high kill shelter in Darlington, SC with her siblings. The litter was scheduled to be euthanized so we stepped in as fosters to take the two girls, Kaylee and Kylie. Palmetto Paws took the brother, Oliver.
Kaylee is being fostered with Leash On Life Dog Rescue. In The Dog House just opened in June 2012 and made a commitment to always have two spots available to foster rescue dogs for Leash On Life.
If you would like to meet Kaylee as much as she would like to meet you, please contact In The Dog House at 843-884-5434 or bark@playinthedoghouse.com.
submitted by In The Dog House. "You can't change the world saving dogs but you can change the world for the dogs you save" hit home for us. If everyone fostered just one dog at a time, we could make a huge difference long term...
