Foster Fridays: Daisy

Hello, my name is Daisy! I am a 5 year old Golden Retriever/Setter mix. I am a very sweet, happy (you can tell because I am always wagging my tail) and laid back girl. I have been with my foster family a little over 2 weeks and I love it! Before living with them, I was chained up and very lonely. Now, I am an inside dog! I am housebroken and I am getting to be a pro at using a doggie door! I know how to “sit”, especially when there are treats involved!

I love my baby foster brother and my older foster sister. We got along the moment we met, even though my brother is a little fickle sometimes. Now we are such good friends that we even take naps side by side! I am not sure if I have ever been in a household with cats or children, but since I am also a gentle girl, I think I would like children-not so sure about cats, but I would be happy to meet one to see! I love my foster parents too and lick them to show them every chance that I get. I enjoy cuddling up and I love getting petted! I follow my foster dad around everywhere. I do feel a little sad when he leaves to go to work and sometimes I bark. My foster dad tells me all the time that I am sweet, have the cutest freckles and that I have a great smile!

I am always up for new adventures too! It has been too cold to go swimming, but I cannot wait to try it-my foster brother tells me it is awesome. I enjoy walking to the park and playing, but right now, I am about to start treatment to get rid of my heartworms, so I can’t exercise as much as I would like. My foster mom says I am a perfect lady when I am walking on a leash and I don’t pull at all!

I am searching for a forever home, so if you think we would make a perfect match, please contact Daisy’s Place (www.daisysplace.org or melissa@daisysplace.org) ASAP! If you don’t know Daisy’s Place, they are a great organization who helps find loving homes for Retrievers (and Retriever mixes) six years and older, like me.
