Dogtoberfest

Event date:
Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at 1:00pm

Attention, pets of the Lowcountry! Put on your best Halloween costume, and bring yourself and your human to our annual Dogtoberfest wine tasting and pet expo from 1-6 p.m. at Freshfield's Village! This event will benefit local animal rescues, with organizations on site to answer questions and display a selection of adoptable pups. From furbabies to Great Danes, this event will feature pups of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Live music will be provided by performer Dave Landdeo, and pet-related vendors will be in attendance with booths displaying information on pet ownership and great pet-related items for sale. There will be no on-site pet adoptions, but those interested in adoption may sign up to begin the screening process.

Wine tasting tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at the Sandcastle Community Center (1 Shipwatch Road), as well as at the Freshfields guest services office. Tasting tickets include a commemorative Dogtoberfest glass, and those who participate in the tasting will be entered into a special drawing. All event profits will be donated to participating rescues. To purchase tickets, sign up for the costume contest, register as a vendor, or obtain further event information, please contact Jessica Richardson at jessica.richardson@kica.us.
