2012 Cover Model Contest Finalists!

Big round of applause for everyone who entered the 2012 Cover Model Contest. We had 555 dogs enter the contest this year and we loved meeting each and every one of them. To see the full gallery of all contestants visit www.lauraolsen.com and click on the Model Contest image.

Each year, it is so difficult to narrow our contestants down to the top finalists. And this year was no different. In fact, this year it felt even more challening because so many of the dogs looked fantastic against our cover backdrop. I've already heard from many people claiming, "it looks JUST like my dog is really on the cover!"

But in the end, we had to narrow it down. Due to the high number of model perfect dogs this year, we chose a top 30 instead of a Top 25. It's up the YOU the general public to choose this year's winner.

First view the slideshow of all 30 finalists by clicking on the image above. In the Top 30 there are dogs of every shape, size, color, purebreed and mixed breed. Dogs are presented in alphabetical order.

Then use the handy poll below to vote for your favorite. Select your favorite and click the VOTE button at the end of the poll!

You may cast a second vote for your favorite dog on our Facebook page. First click the "Like" button on the LCDM Facebook page HERE if you have not already done so. Then, "Like" the dog you wish to win in THIS ALBUM. Feel free to comment on the dog's photo, but only "likes" will be counted as votes.

We will tally up the votes for each dog here on lowcountrydog.com as well as on Facebook. The dog with the most votes wins!

Voting will be open until Monday, June 1st 2012.

Share the Top 30 with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc., by clicking on the green SHARE button at the bottom of this post. It's an easy way to encourage your friends and family to cast their vote for YOUR favorite dog!

Feel free to use the comments section below to make a case for your choice, provide funny captions for each dog's photo and share your opinions. But let's keep it positive. I know there will be a lot of disappointed dog owners out there who feel their dog deserved to make it into the Top 30 finalists. Each and every dog is a winner, and this is why the model contest issue will contain photos of every contestant!
