About Us:

Head Trainer Kristie Allen is certified through Animal Behavior College and is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers - Methods include positive reinforcement, clicker training, and leadership - We help you teach your dog to work for the things he likes, as opposed to working to avoid punishment. Punishment is NOT needed to train your dog and can be detrimetal to your relationship with him or her. Training plans are customed designed to meet your needs and training goals. TLC is also locally owned and operated. Kristie Allen has training articles published in LCD and also serves as a behavior advisor for Francis Willis SPCA, Doc Williams SPCA, Wild Heir Lab Rescue, Palmetto Paws Rescue and Low Country Animal Rescue. Kristie continues to volunteer at the local shelters and rescue groups to assist with the ever growing need for forever homes of abandoned, neglected, and abused animals. The Learning Canine is also recommended by the wonderful staff at Sangaree Animal Hospital.
